Frequently Asked Questions

Are you in South Philly?

Yes! We’re on the corner of Reed and Carlisle (one block off of Broad Street). We’re open 7 days a week and our hours are Monday through Friday from 8am-2pm and Saturday and sunday from 8am-4pm.

What is the South Philly location all about?

Well, we have both a coffee shop and bakery all in one. Our drink menu can be found on our homepage but we also have incredible and creative monthly drink specials! Our sandwiches and other breakfast/lunch items come from local spots like Vegan Chef Lenka, Rowhouse Grocery, Algorithm Vegan Grill and Craveworthy Creations. We also get some gluten-free items from High Fidelity Bakery, and 7 Sugars. Our selections change weekly which means there is no set food menu, But there’s always something good here!

As far as our pastries, we have an ever-changing selection! We also have plenty of staples like our cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, cherry cheese danish, coffee cake and our now famous SPINACH JAWN.

How’s the coffee?

Amazing! After plenty of taste-testing, we fell in love with the coffee from Philly Fair Trade. They were able to create the perfect blend for us that you won’t be able to find anywhere else in Philly and we couldn’t be happier. We have a full espresso bar too, so plenty of choices. Not a coffee fan? No worries, we have other drinks including teas, matcha, lemonades, golden oat milk lattes and hot chocolate. Be on the look-out for monthly drink specials too!

What milks do you offer in the cafe?

Our standard is oat milk from Oatly. If oat doesn’t float your boat, then we have almond and soy too. Need cream for your coffee? We carry Silk Soy Vanilla Creamer and Silk Half and Half which is an oat and coconut creamer. Non-vegans love them both!

Can you deliver my coffee and sandwich? Or a cake, maybe?

We have partnered with Caviar, DoorDash, GrubHub and Uber Eats for delivery. The one exception is that we personally deliver wedding cakes and special catering orders. Our delivery radius and charges for wedding cakes will be discussed at the time of booking.

Do you still sell your treats to wholesale customers?

At this time, we don’t offer wholesale with the exception of our cannoli cream.

How about online orders?

You can order ahead online here and we’ll have your order ready for you upon arrival.

Do you sell gift cards?

We do! You can order online here. Of course, you can always stop in the store and grab one too.

We’re getting married! Can you provide our cake?

Absolutely! We have wedding tastings monthly. You can sign-up for a wedding tasting here. We book up fast so it’s best to get in our calendar sooner than later.

Do you use eggs?

None. Nada. Zilch. Rather than use eggs, we have other tricks up our sleeves. By taking eggs out of the mix we say goodbye to a bunch of fat and cholesterol. Best of all, it makes the hens happy.

How about dairy?

No Whey! That’s right. There are so many amazing options for us to use when baking our products. Our primary non-dairy milk used for baking is soy. We recommend trying any of the non-dairy alternatives at home too. Cereal with vanilla almond milk is delicious!

What about butter?

Two words. Earth Balance. This item is readily available at almost every supermarket these days. Pick some up next time and use it just like you use butter. No trans fats and tastes great.

Do you offer gluten-free items?

We do offer some gluten free/vegan pastries on a daily basis from High Fidelity Bakery and 7 Sugars. We also bring in some sandwiches and other breakfast/lunch gluten-free options from our partners. These change often, so keep checking to see what’s new on the menu.

Do you use nuts?

Yes, and no. All of our baked goods are now nut-free and the gluten-free pastries we carry from others are also nut-free. However, some pre-packaged sandwiches and food items we bring in from other vendors do contain nuts and once in a while we will have a drink on the menu that may have nuts in the syrup.

I'm not local, do you ship?

Sorry, we aren't shipping at this time.

How quickly should I eat my treats?

Since we don’t use preservatives, we suggest eating them within 5-7 days. Most items freeze really well too. And, who are we kidding? Once you have a taste, they won’t stand a chance.

Do I need to refrigerate my treats?

We suggest you do. If you’re planning to enjoy a full cake or some cupcakes, it’s best to take out of the fridge about an hour or two prior to allow the buttercream to come to room temp and be super soft and creamy. Cannoli should be refrigerated until just before you’re ready to devour.

So if it's vegan, it must be healthy, right?

Well, not exactly. Let’s face it, it’s still dessert. Our goal is to create amazing treats that are cruelty-free.
